Meet Elsa
Elsa Marit Cherner has spent more than two decades inside the beauty industry, building the kind of eye that comes from knowing not only what is good, but what is next and the confidence to have an opinion about both.
A makeup artist by training, tastemaker by instinct and media founder, Elsa has worked across artistry, education, brands and the business of beauty. She has an unusually sharp radar for the products, people and ideas shaping the industry, but her real interest lies in where beauty is going and how she can help shape what comes next.
Because for Elsa, beauty is never just about beauty. It is deeply personal, wrapped up in identity, taste, culture, age, confidence, aspiration and the way we choose to be seen. Trends can give us something new to play with, but they should never tell us who to be.
That tension sits at the center of SVEA: knowing exactly what is happening in beauty without being beholden to it.
Through its studio, editorial platform, podcast and newspaper, SVEA filters an overwhelming industry through Elsa’s distinctly modern point of view which is discovering what matters now, anticipating what’s coming next and deciding what is worth ignoring altogether.
